PROVE IT: Standing Up to China, Europe, and Biden All At Once
A smart bipartisan bill in Congress to put America First
Oh, look — the Europeans are at it again. Will America stand up for itself this time, or will we just let the pencil-pushers in Brussels continue to push us around?
The impending 2026 rollout of the European Union's Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism (CBAM) will unfairly target and penalize U.S. exports under laughably inaccurate environmental pretexts. This mechanism reflects a broader trend, akin to the biases seen in entities like the United Nations, where Western interests, particularly those of the United States, are often disadvantaged in favor of nations like China.
Conservatives have long called out these biases — with those concerns mostly unheeded. But now, finally, the era of international appeasement is over by necessity. The America First movement is ascendant, and the voices of grassroots conservatives can no longer be ignored.
That’s why a number of Republican Senators have put their collective foot down and backed the PROVE IT Act. This important legislation pushes back against internationalists and their far-left agenda to consistently undermine America’s economic sovereignty and environmental leadership. By deploying solid data and factual analysis, the PROVE IT Act will debunk the myths perpetrated by the European Union and other global entities that unfairly target American industries. It will show the world that American industries are at the forefront of environmental responsibility and should not be penalized by biased and unbalanced policies crafted by anti-American bureaucrats across the oceans.
At long last, we have an approach in the PROVE IT Act to directly challenge countries, like China, which thumb their nose at environmental responsibility. As one of the world's largest polluters, China has gotten a free pass for their egregious pollution-heavy practices, at the expense of American manufacturing jobs and workers. This legislation brings us a step closer to real accountability for the CCP by leveling the playing field and rewarding American workers for their more responsible environmental production.
Unfortunately, our challenges are not only abroad. Deep State bureaucrats aligned with China, Europe, and the institutional Left are determined to stifle American prosperity at home as well. The only way out is through. We must directly respond to these stifling regulations, which have long hindered American industrial prowess. This legislation will provide necessary data to push back on Biden Administration regulations that go too far, while proving the environmental case for policies that encourage U.S. manufacturing and production. Ultimately, data from the PROVE IT Act could help unlock permitting for new U.S. investments that face headwinds based solely on mythical climate arguments.
Simply put, the PROVE IT Act will help cut the bureaucratic red tape that strangles our domestic energy and manufacturing sector, which is obviously vital for America's economic growth and global leadership.
The PROVE IT Act is a declaration of America's determination to reshape the global narrative on environmental responsibility and trade. We will not and cannot be shackled by foreign agendas or bureaucratic overreach. We must chart our own path, putting America first, while refusing to cede our sovereignty and our prosperity.
